Procedure
Permanent cosmetics, also known as micropigmentation, are a must for any woman who travels, is active, has visual and/or dexterity difficulties, or just doesn't want to deal with the hassle of applying makeup. Permanent makeup is an age-old process of implanting color, also called pigment, into the dermal layer of the skin. The process has been revolutionized in recent years to include a variety of topical anesthetics used on the skin before the needle inserts the pigment. Permanent makeup defines and outlines the eyes, eyebrows and lips, enhancing your overall appearance 24 hours a day.

One of our registered nurses and certified permanent cosmetic technicians, who has many years experience in the medical field and micropigmentation will take care of you. Your consultation will include a discussion of your facial features, lifestyle and personality. Together, you will choose colors that will enhance your features in the most natural way possible. We can also reshape asymmetrical or thin eyebrows and lips. Topical anesthetic is used for all procedures.

Eyeliner
Permanent eyeliner is used to create noticeable or natural definition, giving lashes a fuller, thicker appearance. For a dramatic look, a wider line and a variety of colors may be used. This popular procedure eliminates smudging altogether. It is invaluable to those who wear contacts, the visually-impaired and those with dexterity difficulties.

Eyebrows
The eyebrows frame the face, and anyone who desires more length or fullness in the brows will benefit frompermanent eyebrow color. By mimicking the appearance of hair, those with thin eyebrows will be thrilled with the results of this simple procedure.

Lips
Permanent lip liner, and especially full lip color, is not only beautiful, it is the most liberating procedure of all. Imagine the luxury of full-looking, perfectly-shaped lips every hour of the day. You can still wear lipstick or gloss, and you may even find that the color is longer-lasting than before. Those with a history of fever blisters or shingles will be given a prescription for antiviral medication prior to the procedure.

Recovery
Healing time varies with each procedure. For 12-24 hours after eyeliner application, you may experience swelling. Light scabbing usually flakes off after a period of 3-5 days. The eyebrow application involves less swelling, and the tiny scabs usually flake off within 5-7 days. Permanent lip color usually results in 3-4 days of swelling and tenderness. Allow 10 days for the area to completely peel. Topical antibiotics may be purchased over the counter and applied sparingly for 7-10 days following the procedure.
