BOTOX® Cosmetic is a natural, purified protein which, in very low doses, relaxes the overactive muscles that cause frown lines to form. Treatment is simple and non-surgical and smoothes the deep, persistent lines between the brows and other areas of the face that have developed over time. Once the muscles are at rest, the skin becomes smoother, creating a more natural and relaxed appearance.

Procedure
Botox is injected with a very small needle into the muscle, it is comparable to a bug bite. Brenda likes to use ice or lidocaine cream to make it more comfortable for the patient. Bruising is rare
and there is no down time. After treatment Brenda requires that you do not massage the areas injected for 4 hours but make-up may be applied immediately after treatment .

FYI: Botox Pricing
There are alot of offices and spas now injecting Botox® Cosmetic . Prices range from $99.00-$400.00 an area which makes it very confusing for people. Although it is a cosmetic procedure it is still a medical procedure with side effects and complications. Make sure whoever is injecting you is experienced and trained properly. There is a recommended dose of Botox® Cosmetic units per muscle, and each muscle requires a different amount. Botox® Cosmetic has to be dilluted with saline to be injected and the recommended dillution is 1-4 cc per vial of 100 units. When you receive Botox® Cosmetic you should ask how many units you are receiving and what is your price per unit. You also have to chose an injector whose technique you like.

Is it safe? If BOTOX® Cosmetic is a toxin, how is it safe?
BOTOX® Cosmetic has safely treated a variety of conditions for more than 10 years and is FDA-approved as BOTOX® Cosmetic for temporary improvement of frown lines in adult patients ages 18 to 65.

BOTOX® Cosmetic generally remains only in the treated muscle and gradually disappears without breaking down. BOTOX® Cosmetic usually lasts around 4 months. After it wears off, the lines will gradually revert to the pre-treatment appearance.

Can anyone administer BOTOX® Cosmetic?
Though any authorized healthcare professional can administer BOTOX® Cosmetic, the person doing so should be thoroughly trained and fully understand the procedure and complications. The concentration of BOTOX® Cosmetic can be very different (and, therefore, the results can be very different) depending on the administrator. This in turn affects the cost and the treatment itself. Is the procedure time consuming?
