A browlift, also known as a forehead lift, helps smooth forehead skin and reduce the signs of aging in the upper face. In addition, the browlift moves the eyebrows to a higher, more youthful position. A browlift can be performed with other procedures such as an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) or with a facelift. An endoscopic browlift is a procedure during which an endoscope is used to help during surgery. The endoscope is a special viewing instrument that is inserted into a small incision to help the surgeon view a larger area.

Procedure
When a browlift is done endoscopically, the incisions are very small (as compared to a traditional browlift during which a large incision is made behind the hairline from ear to ear). There is less risk of sensory loss from nerve damage from small incisions used during endoscopic surgery. There can be less bleeding, bruising and swelling which allows you to recover more quickly and resume normal activities earlier.

Recovery
Some patients notice tingling and itching at the incision sites and some discomfort for the first few days after surgery. There is bruising as the healing process occurs; the bruising often occurs around the eyes as the fluids begin to settle with gravity. Normal activities can be resumed after 1-2 weeks. Makeup can be worn after about a week. Full athletic activities can be resumed after 4-6 weeks.

Price Ranges
The approximate cost of an endoscopic browlift is around $6500. This includes the surgeon’s fee, the surgery facility and the anesthesiologist fees.

The actual cost of your cosmetic surgery procedure is largely dependent upon your specific case. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) publishes information on its website that provides information on the cost of various procedures. Visit www.plasticsurgery.org. These fees may not include the cost of anesthesia, operating room facilities, and other expenses. If you would like specific fees in our office, please feel free to call us or send us an email.
