Beautiful Skin Can Be Yours with Halo™

Halo-Logo_ColorAs your largest and most visible organ, your skin gets quite a workout. Sun exposure, the natural aging process, lifestyle habits, and even your genetics can all play a role in how your skin changes over time—and often, those changes aren’t welcome. Sun spots, fine lines and wrinkles, and a dull, unhealthy skin appearance are common concerns for many people, but do-it-yourself treatments are rarely effective and professional treatments often required downtime. Until now.

We are proud to now offer the Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser here at Southlake Plastic Surgery. This laser is the first and only hybrid fractional laser, and it is taking laser skin resurfacing to a new level. With the ability to address a wide variety of skin concerns without the discomfort, side effects, or downtime of other deeper lasers, Halo is able to eliminate years of damage and precisely target your skin with customizable depth and power settings.

What does “hybrid fractional” mean…and how can it help me?

What makes the Halo laser a great choice for so many different skin types and conditions is that it can be fully adjusted to fit your needs.  In the past, there were two main laser options: fractional (ablative) and non-fractional (non-ablative). While both types of lasers can provide great results to the right candidates, most patients were left to choose between either dramatic results with a lengthy recovery or less downtime with only marginal results. However, Halo, as a hybrid laser, uses fractional and non-fractional wavelengths to provide both deeper dermal rejuvenation and epidermal renewal to achieve beautiful results without the recovery required of more invasive treatments.

Halo’s technology makes it a great option for treating a number of skin concerns, including:

  • Visible signs of aging
  • Fine lines
  • Discoloration
  • Sun damage
  • Uneven skin tone & texture
  • Large pores
  • Acne & other scarring

Your treatment with Halo

The first step in your treatment is scheduling a skin evaluation and consultation with our experienced skincare team. We will examine your concerns, discuss how Halo can help and what to expect from treatment, and design a plan that works best for you.

On the day of your treatment, we will welcome you into a private, comfortable room. Your skin will be prepped for treatment, and we will apply a topical numbing agent to ensure your comfort. Additionally, Halo has an integrated cooling system that will continually cool your skin throughout the procedure. During your consultation, we will have mapped out the areas that will benefit most from treatment. We will slowly and meticulously pass the Halo laser over these areas, taking care to administer treatment in a way that ensures safety and success.

After your treatment, it is important to take care of your skin by keeping it moisturized and protecting it from the sun. It is normal and expected for you to experience peeling during the first few days after treatment; this is your damaged skin coming off to make room for new, healthier skin.

Results after Halo

Our patients report seeing an overall improvement in the health, beauty, and clarity of their skin after treatment with Halo. Skin is typically smoother, more evenly toned, softer, more youthful looking, and has a distinct glow. Your results may vary depending on the severity of your concerns, ultimate goals, and how many treatments you have performed.
